Gilbert police search for person of interest after man allegedly drugged wife and let other men assault her

PHOENIX — Author’s Note: 12News is withholding the main suspect’s name to protect the victim’s identity.

Gilbert police are searching for a person of interest in a sensitive and ongoing investigation of long-term sexual abuse and violence, the department said Tuesday.

On Dec. 14, 2025, police began an investigation into multiple instances that occurred over the course of a year in which a 38-year-old man allegedly gave his wife a drug without her knowing or her consent and arranged for men, who were solicited online, to sexually assault her while she was unconscious.

The woman’s husband and 41-year-old Evan Torres have been arrested as part of the assault investigation, according to the city’s police department. Officials are now asking for help identifying a third person seen on a video.

If you recognize this person or have any information that could assist police, please contact the Gilbert Police Department at 480-503-6500 or securely submit a tip at gilbertaz.gov/SubmitATip and reference report #26-27863.
