Day 97 of Nancy Guthrie case: Mother’s Day plea for missing 84-year-old | The Disappearance of Nancy Guthrie

TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – It has been 97 days since Nancy Guthrie disappeared from her Catalina Foothills home in February, and as Mother’s Day approaches, there’s a new plea for answers.

Guthrie is a mother of three, including TODAY show co-host Savannah Guthrie. A new sign posted outside her home is directed to her abductor.

The sign reads in part, “Your mom would be ashamed if she knew what you did… before you take her flowers on Mother’s Day, take Nancy home or tell the family where she is… do the right thing.”

The 84-year-old’s family urges the community to remember anything unusual from Jan. 11, Jan. 31 and Feb. 1 that may help lead to a break in the investigation.

On Tuesday, Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos pushed back against FBI Director Kash Patel’s claims that the agency wasn’t asked to help investigate during the first days of her disappearance. Nanos said the Pima County Sheriff’s Department brought in the FBI from the beginning.

PCSD continues to ask homeowners in the surrounding community to submit relevant footage in relation to the case. The video footage can be submitted through a PCSD link.

Those with tips in reference to the case can contact 88-CRIME, and remain anonymous. Tips can be submitted through the 88-CRIME phone line, 88crime.org or the P3 Tips mobile app.

Anyone with information about the case is advised to contact 1-800-CALL-FBI or 88-CRIME. The FBI is offering a $100,000 reward for information, 88-CRIME is offering a $102,500 reward and the Guthrie family is offering a $1,000,000 reward.

No press conferences are scheduled at this time.
