Hogwarts comes to Carefree for Harry Potter birthday celebration | Local News

Witches, wizards and Muggles alike will soon gather in Carefree to celebrate a very special wizarding birthday.

The English Rose Tea Room will transform into a world of magic on Friday, July 31, hosting its annual Harry Potter’s Birthday Celebration from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The event, which has become one of the tea room’s most anticipated themed gatherings of the year, invites fans of all ages to immerse themselves in an afternoon of mystery, imagination and British tea culture.

Guests are encouraged to arrive dressed in their finest wizarding attire, including robes, scarves, pointy hats and house colors representing Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff or Slytherin. Non-magical Muggles are also welcome to attend.

The day’s festivities will feature a specially curated, Harry Potter-inspired afternoon tea, wizarding trivia challenges, and an appearance by Hagrid, the series’ beloved gentle giant. Organizers say guests can also expect charming surprises and gifts hidden throughout the venue.

Admission is $70 for adults and $40 for children. “Owls” are admitted free of charge. Ticket prices do not include tax or gratuity.

Due to high demand, reservations are essential. Standard seating times are available throughout the day, with the final reservation scheduled for 4 p.m.
