Traffic stop leads to cocaine bust on I-40 near Kingman

KINGMAN, Ariz. — A traffic stop turned into a cocaine bust near Kingman last month, according to Arizona DPS.

On March 29, troopers conducted a traffic stop on I-40 during an “Operation Desert Guardian” detail. Officials said troopers saw indications of criminal activity, so consent to search the vehicle was granted.

During the search, troopers found 15 pounds of cocaine hidden in the vehicle’s natural voids.

DPS said the suspect was arrested. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
