Children witnessed Marana murder-suicide per sources | Crime

MARANA, Ariz. (KVOA) – Sources close to a murder-suicide investigation in Marana tell News 4 Tucson the man suspected of killing his ex-wife, Mikaela Durfey, in a murder suicide on Memorial Day shot her multiple times after picking up the former couple’s children and putting them in his car. 

The suspect, Brian Schnurr, who was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound less than a mile away, was a Marana chiropractor, sources told News 4 Tucson. 

The children witnessed the shooting deaths of their mother and father, according to sources. Prior to Schnurr leaving his car and shooting himself he reportedly called his ex-wife’s mother to tell her where to find the car with his kids.
