TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) – New developments have emerged in the case of Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance. An investigator close to the case tells News 4 Tucson they are uncertain if all the clothing items seen on the man in Nancy Guthrie’s doorbell camera footage originated from Walmart. Right now, the only confirmed item is a black Ozark Trail backpack.
No one has been ruled out as a suspect, including family members. However, the source tells News 4 Tucson, “Family has been cooperative. All the way. Everything they’ve asked for they’ve done,” Despite this, they cannot rule anyone out as they still do not know who took Nancy.
Regarding whether Nancy Guthrie is alive 16 days after her disappearance, an investigator said, “Her family believes she’s alive why wouldn’t I.”
Savannah Guthrie shared a video on Sunday expressing hope that her mother is still alive. Investigators are hoping to get closer to identifying a suspect and are currently waiting on DNA results from the FBI regarding a glove found about two miles from the scene.
